Objective: Mobile phone addiction in adolescents is considered one of the fundamental challenges to development and mental health. This study aimed to model the causal role of parental neglect in adolescents' tendency to become addicted to mobile phones through the mediation of personal growth initiative.
Methods: The present study is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population included all male students in the second year of high school in public schools in Karaj in the academic year 2025, of which 300 were selected by cluster random sampling and responded to the scales of mobile phone addiction, personal growth initiative, and parental neglect. The obtained data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient tests and structural equation modeling using SPSS 25 and Lisrel 8.8 software.
Results: Findings indicated that parental neglect was positively related to mobile phone addiction (β = 0.42), while it was negatively associated with personal growth initiative (β = -0.58). Personal growth initiative also negatively predicted mobile phone addiction (β = -0.59) and significantly mediated the relationship between parental neglect and mobile phone addiction (β = 0.34). The model fit the data well.
Conclusion: These findings indicate that promoting personal growth initiative can play a protective role against adolescents' tendency to mobile phone addiction and, at the same time, highlight the importance of parents' attention to their children's needs in preventing this addiction.

Objective: Early marriage among girls is a complex, multi-layered, and intertwined phenomenon shaped by the interaction amomg individual, familial, cultural, social, and structural factors. The aim of the present study was to identify the factors influencing early marriage among girls in rural areas of Zanjan Province, Iran.
Methods: This qualitative study employed a descriptive phenomenological approach and used thematic analysis based on Braun and Clarke’s (2006) six-phase framework, guided by the Socio-Ecological Model. Participants included 13 girls with a history of early marriage and 13 key informants (school counselors and principals), selected purposively using snowball sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis method.
Results: The analysis identified 9 main themes and 26 sub-themes, categorized across four levels of the socio-ecological model: at the individual level, psychological-emotional needs and cognitive-emotional immaturity in decision-making; at the interpersonal/family level, reproduction of family patterns and patriarchal family dominance; at the community level, social norms and traditions and stereotypical media representations of women's roles; and at the structural/policy level, educational limitations and inadequate awareness, absence of legal and social protection, and economic poverty and pressures.
Conclusion: The findings indicate that early marriage is not merely the outcome of girls' individual choices, but rather the product of intertwined interaction of cultural, economic, and institutional structures in the rural areas of Zanjan. By providing a localized portrayal of this phenomenon, the study can inform the design of multilevel preventive interventions for policymakers, health professionals, educators, and counselors.

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of marital adjustment in the relationship between responsibility and self-control with life satisfaction.
Methods: This applied research was conducted using a correlational design. The statistical population included married employees of the Department of Education in Isfahan County in 2024. A sample of 236 participants was selected through convenience sampling based on Soper's method (2021). Participants completed the Self-Control Scale (SCS), Responsibility Questionnaire (PSRQ), Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale (RDAS), and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). After an initial review, responses from two participants were excluded due to incompleteness, leaving data from 234 participants for analysis using SmartPLS 3 software.
Results: The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between responsibility, self-control and marital adjustment with life satisfaction (p<0.05). Moreover, the structural model demonstrated a good fit, indicating that both the direct effects of responsibility and self-control on life satisfaction and their indirect effects through marital adjustment were significant (p<0.05).
Conclusion: These findings suggest that enhancing a sense of responsibility and self-control can improve couples' marital adjustment, thereby increasing individuals' life satisfaction.

Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of schema therapy on cognitive-emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and quality of life in women as heads of households.
Methods: The present study employed a quasi-experimental design with pre-test-post-test and a control group. The sample consisted of 30 women as heads of households with adolescent children in Ardabil city, selected through convenience sampling and randomly assigned to experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The experimental group received eight 90-minute sessions of schema therapy (Young et al., 2003), while the control group received no intervention. Data were collected using the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ-18), the Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS), and Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF-36). Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was used for data analysis.
Results: The results of the analysis of covariance showed that schema therapy significantly improved cognitive-emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and quality of life in women as heads of households (p < .001). Effect sizes were strong for adaptive strategies (η² = .76), maladaptive strategies (η² = .77), distress tolerance (η² = .71), and quality of life (η² = .81).
Conclusion: Schema therapy, by modifying maladaptive schemas and improving emotion regulation, increases distress tolerance and quality of life in women as heads of households. This brief and efficient method, if widely implemented in counseling and support centers, leads to positive individual and intergenerational outcomes.

Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between domestic violence and couple adjustment: the moderating role of marital virtues.
Methods: The method of the present research is correlational. The statistical population of this study was all married women living in Bandar Mahshahr, from which 330 people participated in this study using a convenience sample. The data collection tools were the Domestic Violence Questionnaire, the Marital Adjustment Questionnaire (DAS) (Spiner, 1976), and the Marital Virtues Profile (MPV) (Fawcett et al., 2013). The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis, moderation regression methods and AMOS software version 26.
Results: The findings showed that there is a direct and significant relationship between the research variables (P<0.01), However, indirect path coefficient of marital virtues in the relationship between domestic violence and marital adjustment is not significant (p =0.11). This finding aligns with previous research, underscoring the detrimental role of violence in couple relationships.
Conclusion: The findings suggest that in relationships characterized by violence, possessing virtues such as forgiveness or tolerance alone is insufficient to prevent the deterioration of marital adjustment, and other supportive and intervening factors must also be considered.

Objective: Marital infidelity is one of the major challenges in couples' relationships, and can be influenced by pornography addiction. This study aimed to examine the role of pornography addiction in predicting marital infidelity, with the mediating role of emotional loneliness and dysfunctional sexual fantasies.
Methods: This study employed a descriptive, correlational design. The population comprised men and women with a history of marital infidelity who had sought counseling services at educational centers in Hamadan province. From this population, a sample of 320 individuals was selected via convenience sampling. Data were collected using Grubbs et al.'s (2010) Pornography Addiction Scale, DiTommaso et al.'s (2004) Loneliness Scale, Wilson's (1998) Sexual Fantasy Questionnaire, and Yeniceri and Kokdemir's (2006) Marital Infidelity Questionnaire. To evaluate the fit of the conceptual model, structural equation modeling (SEM) was performed using AMOS 24.
Results: The proposed model demonstrated acceptable fit (χ²/df = 3.57, GFI = 0.879, CFI = 0.623, RMSEA = 0.089). A significant direct relationship was found between pornography addiction and marital infidelity. Moreover, emotional loneliness and dysfunctional sexual fantasies significantly mediated this relationship.
Conclusion: Pornography addiction can have a severe impact on marital relationships. Addressing its psychological consequences, including emotional loneliness and dysfunctional sexual fantasies, is essential for developing effective prevention strategies and improving relationship quality among couples.
