Abstract
This study investigated the effectiveness of group training in Transactional Analysis on positive feeling toward their spouse in married women. The research methodology was experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The population, studied in 2015, consisted of all women seeking help from health houses in district 5 of Tehran. Initially, 198 individuals were evaluated. A sample size of 35 participants was determined to provide adequate statistical power for the intended analyses, considering the expected effect size and practical feasibility. these 35 respondents were selected based on their scores on the Positive Feelings towards Husband Questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .89 ٫being below the average. They were randomly assigned to two groups: 16 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. The group training sessions on Transactional Analysis were conducted for 12 sessions for the experimental group. The results showed that group training in Transactional Analysis significantly increased the positive feelings towards husbands in the experimental group compared to the control group (P<0.001). Therefore, it can be concluded that Transactional Analysis training is an effective method for enhancing marital satisfaction indicators and should be included in couples counseling sessions.
